La pesca del polpo con le anforette - Il giornale del mare
Skip to content Il polpo può essere pescato con diverse tecniche. La pesca del polpo solitamente avviene grazie alla polpara ma esiste anche la tecnica delle anforette, vediamole insieme.
La pesca del polpo interessa sia la pesca professionale che quella sportiva. Se nella pesca professionale viene pescato con le reti da posta per la pesca sportiva al polpo viene utilizzato un attrezzo chiamato polpara . La polpara non è nient’altro che un piombo, solitamente a forma di pera, che riporta tanti ami ritorti con l’ardiglione che punta verso l’alto. Solitamente di colore bianco (il polpo è attirato da tutto cioè che è di colore chiaro) la polpara viene calata su fondali rocciosi tra i 5 ed i 20 metri dove il polpo vive. Agitandola sul fondale il polpo la scambia per una preda e viene tratto in inganno, da qui viene anche il nome “traditore” con cui è conosciuta la polpara. Un altra tecnica è quella di legare uno strofinaccio bianco ad una “zampa di gallina” ed agitarla, questa esca infatti da ottimi risultati soprattutto in inverno. Ma un metodo che si tramanda nella storia da tanto tempo, dal nord Africa, al sud America sino alle coste dell’Europa è la pesca del polpo con le anfore o con i barattoli, Un sistema tipo palamito, dove i barattoli sono legati uno dopo l’altro ad una lunga corda e calati sul fondale. Le anfore sono delle vere e proprie “casseforti” per il polpo che ne fa la sua casa diurna per proteggersi dai suoi predatori. Un sistema utilizzato nelle coste di Marocco e Tunisia con le anforette di terracotta dove può essere inserita anche un esca da far trovare all’ospite una volta che ha trovato la sua dimora. La mattina presto il palamito per i polpi viene issato in barca e dopo aver recuperato il polpo la polpara può essere ricalata in mare.
La regolamentazione per la pesca sportiva al polpo Se in passato la pesca sportiva del polpo con le anfore è stata consentita oggi la regolamentazione è più chiara. Non si tratta dunque di un palamito per la pesca al polpo (dove possono essere usate sino a 200 anforette), ma bensì l’attrezzo è considerato come una “trappola” dove viene applicata la stessa regolamentazione delle nasse . Dunque non possono essere calata in mare più di due nasse per imbarcazione e tali attrezzi devono essere ben segnalati (gavitello giallo, bandierina di segnalazione o luce notturna ben visibili e targhetta identificativa in caso di pesca professionale) per evitare di creare problemi alle imbarcazioni in transito.
UN POLPO LASCIA L’INCHIOSTRO PER SCAPPARE AL PERICOLO UN POLPO CHE HA TROVATO CASA DENTRO UN’ANFORETTA Questi attrezzi per la pesca al polpo vengono calati sia su substrati rocciosi che sabbiosi. Durante il buio della notte, il polpo è in caccia e dopo aver catturato la sua preda va alla ricerca di un luogo protetto dove consumare il pasto. Un barattolo o un anforetta sono il nascondiglio ideale per il polpo che indisturbato può nutrirsi e riposare . Il polpo dunque comincia a riempire la nuova tana di oggetti come pietre e conchiglie per sbarrare la via d’entrata ad ospiti poco indesiderati.
Innescare le anforette per la pesca al polpo Naturalmente non è necessario innescare tale attrezzo da pesca anche se i pescatori sportivi si sbizzarriscono per ritrovare le esche migliori per la pesca al polpo (granchietti, pollo, formaggio). I pescatori professionali invece innescano le loro trappole con la sardina.
La regolamentazione Italiana sulla pesca del polpo Dunque la pesca sportiva del polpo con le anforette o i barattoli non è più considerata come un palamito ma bensì come trappole . Massimo due per imbarcazioni per una cattura massima di 5 Kg. Esiste anche una misura minima di cattura (anche se non tutti ne sono a conoscenza) che limita la cattura dei polpi ad esemplari di peso inferiore ai 450 grammi.

1) i polpetti che troviamo al mercato sono dunque fuori legge?
2) quindi a bordo posso portare solo due anforette per volta?
Avevo già sentito parlare di questa tecnica e qualche anno fa qualche pescatore siciliano che conosco aveva provato a ri-metterla in pratica. Sembra la facessero i suoi antenati. Il nome siculo era catuppu ( o qualcosa del genere non ricordo bene) purtroppo senza successo.
